Dr. Jonathan Reed graduated from San Diego State University, UCLA, and the University of Washington School of Medicine. Reed also completed additional studies at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution.
Beginning in 1981, he worked as a physician in developmental psychiatry at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, where he spent 15 years building a respected and demanding medical career.
In 1996, Reed decided to take his dog, “Suzy,” on an afternoon hike through a nearby forest trail they had visited many times before. What began as an ordinary outing would soon become an experience Reed later described as unimaginable—an event that would forever alter the course of his life and place him at the center of one of the most controversial extraterrestrial encounters of the modern era.
